Climate tech

Engineering sustainable infrastructure.

We're a climate-tech company making low-carbon, climate-resilient construction materials from the city's waste.

Our vision

To cut the carbon out of construction, and build the climate-resilient, circular materials our cities need for the decades ahead.

The problem.

Construction sits where three crises meet.

Carbon
34%

of global CO₂ comes from buildings and construction.

Climate risk
93%

of days in early 2024 brought extreme weather to India.

Waste
1%

of India's construction waste is recycled.

The answer

GT materials.

GT Brick

Low carbon. Climate resilient. Circular.

How we solve it.

Mitigation

Less carbon in every wall.

No kiln, no cement, no quarried stone, and plastic kept out of open fires.

0tonnes of CO₂e avoided over the next 10 years
Resilience

Built for a harsher climate.

Resistant to weather, water, wear and corrosion. Suited to coastal and heavy-rain regions, and quick to lay for relief housing.

Coastalgrade durability
Circular economy

Waste in. Infrastructure out.

Plastic and construction waste become materials that last, instead of filling drains, dumpsites and the sea.

0tonnes of waste diverted over the next 10 years
Plastic waste

Plastic that would be burned.

Plastic waste from the city's homes and markets.

Construction waste

Waste that would be dumped.

Construction waste from building sites across the city.

Sustainable material

One strong material.

Two of a city's hardest wastes, turned into walling and paving that lasts.

Corrosion resistant

Suited to harsh and coastal environments.

Lighter dead load

Less weight on the frame and on the truck.

Custom moulds

Sustainability.

Lower embodied carbon, credits for green buildings, and a lawful home for the city's waste.

Low carbon, by design.

Buildings and construction produce 34% of global CO₂. Cement and steel alone account for 18%. Walling is where much of that carbon is locked in.

Where the emissions come from

Embodied carbon is everything released before a wall stands. Conventional walling has four big sources.

Kiln firing

India's brick kilns burn about 35 million tonnes of coal a year.

No kiln.
Cement

Making clinker releases roughly its own weight in CO₂e. It binds concrete and AAC blocks.

No cement binder.
Quarrying and haulage

Laterite is cut from hillsides and heavy to move.

Made from waste instead.
Open burning

About 5.8 million tonnes of plastic are burned in the open in India each year.

Plastic locked into walls.

Embodied carbon, compared

Cradle-to-gate, kg CO₂e per kg of material.

Gatta products avoid all three: no kiln, no cement binder and no quarried stone.

Emissions avoided, year by year.

0

tonnes of CO₂e over the next 10 years

Each tonne of waste we put to use keeps plastic out of a fire and replaces a fired brick or quarried stone. Figures use conservative emission factors.

IGBC

Materials with recycled content. Green Homes awards up to 2 points at 10% and 20% recycled content.

LEED

Recycled content. Post-consumer plus half of pre-consumer content, at 10% or 20% of material value.

GRIHA

Low-impact and recycled materials. Waste-based walling with no kiln firing or quarrying.

BRSR

Value-chain disclosure. Waste-diversion and carbon data for listed developers' reports.

Lighter structure

Less dead load on beams, columns and foundations.

Coastal durability

Resistant to weather, water, wear and salt air.

Made locally

Supports regional-material credits and cuts haulage.

Waste rules.

Since 1 April 2026, India's waste laws ask builders and cities to recycle more and dump less. We help them do it.

Construction and Demolition Waste Management Rules, 2025

Recycled material becomes mandatory.

Large projects now carry extended producer responsibility, and a growing share of construction material must be recycled. Producers can also meet targets by buying certificates from registered recyclers.

Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026

Sort at source. Recycle, don't dump.

Waste is split into four streams, waste facilities must be registered and audited, and landfills are limited to inert, non-recoverable waste. Dry-stream plastic needs somewhere to go.

Plastic Waste Management (Amendment) Rules, 2026

Turning plastic into products counts as recycling.

That puts waste-based building materials firmly inside India's recycling economy.

Our contribution.

Compliance for builders

Products and paperwork that count toward recycled-content targets.

A lawful home for construction waste

Put to use instead of dumped on roadsides and wetlands.

An outlet for city plastic

Plastic that would otherwise be burned or dumped, turned into building materials.

Measured impact

Waste-diversion and carbon data for EPR, audits and impact reporting.

A climate-tech
company.

Gatta Tech is a climate-tech, sustainable construction materials company. We turn the city’s waste into low-carbon, climate-resilient materials, cutting emissions in construction and keeping waste in a circular economy.

Our cities have built with quarried stone and fired brick for generations. We want the next generation of buildings to rise from material the city has already thrown away.

The city's plastic waste and construction waste become our raw material, so the city gets cleaner and builders get cheaper walls.

Vision

To cut the carbon out of construction, and build the climate-resilient, circular materials our cities need for the decades ahead.

Mission

Turn the city's plastic and construction waste into low-carbon, climate-resilient construction materials that cost less than what they replace.

Mitigation

Lower embodied carbon in every wall and floor.

Resilience

Materials that hold up to heat, rain, salt air and wear.

Circular economy

Waste kept in use as infrastructure.
